No power again.

Nabeh, I am beginning to experience life the Vietnamese way. No electricity again.....NABEH.

The local took me out for a drink in their scooters last night.

Yes, it is dangerous to pillion-ride without helmet, but they don't ride fast, only 20-30km/h. I guess part of the Saigon charm is to travel around in scooter, because you get to smell all such of things in the air, like the grilling smoke from streetside BBQ stall, the stench of the tributary stream, the exhaust fumes from adjacent vehicles. All these smells serve to enrich your sensory experience in Vietnam! Oh well, if that's not enough, you might be bedazzled by the dazzling lights of some coffee shops and night hangouts, though not the most impressive I ever came across.

Overall, it is a pleasant experience for me to be able to travel around, using their common mode of transport. However, I will NOT do that again, because I fear death and mishaps. Just like sky-diving, it is good to try it at least once in a lifetime.
